OnePress and the Press Association: How Are They Connected?
It’s a question we’ve heard from both business partners and newspapers:
“How are OnePress and the Nebraska Press Association connected?”
Some business partners have expressed concerns, wondering if OnePress is a large, out-of-state advertising agency that replaced Nebraska Press Advertising Services, taking money away from Nebraska’s newspaper media. Let’s set the record straight.
What is OnePress, and How Does It Work with the NPA?
Many people assume the Nebraska Press Association (NPA) is a single entity. In reality, it has long operated as two distinct organizations:
Nebraska Press Association: A 501(c)(6) non-profit organization trade association focused on advocacy, education and enhancement of Nebraska'a newspaper media members.
Nebraska Press Advertising Services (NPAS): A for-profit marketing agency wholly owned by the NPA. NPAS supports the NPA and its members by helping regional and national clients achieve their marketing goals.
As the marketing industry evolved, so did NPAS. It expanded its services to include a wide range of digital options. However, many potential clients continued to view NPAS as a print-only solution.
To address this misconception, NPAS rebranded as OnePress in collaboration with the KidGlov agency. The new name and look modernized its identity while maintaining its reputation as a “one-stop, one-shop” marketing service. The rebrand emphasized that newspapers offer both print and digital marketing solutions and that OnePress can deliver results on a regional or national scale with a local touch.
A Turning Point: Leaning Into OnePress
Although this process began in 2018, the OnePress logo was added, but it was never fully distinguished.
So in 2024,we made the decision that we’re leaning into OnePress—but with an important addition. Going forward, OnePress is powered by the Nebraska Press Association, underscoring our partnership and shared mission.
This included new email addresses, a new website, and will include more and more inbound and outbound marketing.
The Power of Partnership: OnePress and the NPA
At OnePress, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. As a media planning and placement agency, we work closely with the NPA and its members to create advertising solutions that benefit businesses, communities, and the state of Nebraska.
In addition to our robust print advertising network, we offer a full suite of digital marketing options to help clients reach their target audiences across platforms.
A Unified Vision
OnePress and the NPA are united by a shared commitment to local journalism and the importance of connecting with audiences through trusted media outlets. Together, we enable organizations to reach readers across Nebraska, leveraging the unique power of newspapers to amplify impactful messages.
Delivering Results for Advertisers
Through our partnership with the NPA, we offer advertisers access to an extensive network of newspapers across the state. Whether it’s a statewide public notice campaign or a targeted ad for a local business, we simplify the process, ensuring messages reach the right audiences in the right places.
"OnePress is so helpful when placing media in locations across Nebraska. They are attentive, helpful, and quick to respond. I appreciate their willingness to work with me to execute the best plan possible for my clients."
Why It Matters
In an era of fragmented media consumption, local newspapers remain a trusted source of information. By working together, OnePress and the NPA empower businesses, agencies, and organizations to engage with their communities meaningfully.
We’re proud to support local journalism while delivering exceptional value to our clients. Together, we’re not just placing ads — we’re building connections and strengthening communities.
